Anita Briem is an Icelandic actress . She is famous for her character as Jane Seymour , the young woman who is destined to be Queen Elizabeth III's third spouse Henry VIII in the series of television The Tudors and for her character in the role of Hannah in the film Journey to the Center of the Earth ( 2008 ) . Briem was 9 when she began acting at Iceland's National Theater. Her first stage performance was as a child in Iceland, participating in radio and television plays. Briem, then 16, relocated to London and took part in her first production, Lenin In Love at the New End Theater. Briem attended the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art for three years, earning an award in the field of drama.
